How to Install freedv software package in Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

freedv software package provides Software Defined Radio (SDR), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install freedv

freedv is installed in your system.

Make ensure the freedv package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep freedv *

You will get with freedv package name, version, architecture and description in a table
